New Year, Same Style

New Year’s: the one day of the year where glitter, sparkles and sequins are all the rage. This is one of those days fashion lovers look forward to, a time to go all out. Due to the ongoing pandemic, parties may be limited this year, but that doesn’t mean dressing up is out of the question! Keep reading for some New Year's outfit inspo, to stay in, or go out.

Little black dress

Details: headband, dress, tights.

End this year with a classic- a little black dress. Spice it up with a rhinestone headband and tights, some light makeup with a bold lip. Comfortable, yet timelessly chic, this is the perfect go-to NYE outfit.

70s throwback

Details: top, pants, boots.

Pair with some blue and silver glitter, hoop earrings and a bold lipstick. This outfit calls for a statement piece to match- a sequin jacket to protect you from the cold or a cheesy NYE headpiece to ring in the New year. With this style top and flared pants, you’ll be feeling like it's the 1970s. With this comfortable fit, you’ll be set to boogie all night long.

Work party chic

Details: dress, boots.

A grungy, yet professional, outfit to stand out at your NYE work party. Pair with a classic red lip and winged eyeliner. Add statement earrings and bold eye makeup to push this look to the next level.

Sequin overload

Details: blazer, dress, tights.

This is a classic NYE fit- a sequin mini dress (which can be found just about anywhere at this time of year) and an oversized blazer. Dress this look up or down with makeup, jewelry and, of course, glitter.

Monochrome co-ord

Details: jacket, top, pants, bag.

Perfect for a house party or small gathering, this outfit will stand out without being too flashy. Pair with a nude lip and brown fox eye makeup. Add glitter stars to your cheekbones and around your eyes for an amped up version.

Final thoughts

Whether you stay in or go out, New Years is the perfect excuse to dress up. My NYE outfit will likely mirror these suggestions- it'll be comfortable and covered in glitter. See you all next year!
